What is BNI?

BNI is a large, well-established organisation which is recognised by business people internationally as being "The" Business Referral Organisation.

What it isn’t

BNI, unlike many other business and trade associations is not an excuse for a "jolly" or a good time. Whilst our members enjoy their membership and participation in BNI, they are here for one reason - more business.

More Information

We meet every Wednesday morning for a business breakfast meeting at Barnhurst Golf Club. We arrive between 6.30am & 7.00am which provides a little time for general networking (the earlier you arrive, the more networking you can do!). The formal part of the meeting starts at 7.15am, and we are all finished and away by 8.30am sharp in time for the business day ahead.

Formal Part?

BNI meetings throughout the world all operate to the same fixed agenda. This means we always stay focused on the main objective which is creating business. Here are a few of the key agenda points:

60 second presentations from members - each member stands up and delivers a short, sharp advertorial on his or her business. A great opportunity to sell your services and products and build confidence in you and your business.

5 minute speaker presentation - Each week 2 members have the opportunity to make a more comprehensive 5 minute presentation regarding their business.

Visitor introductions - All visitors attending have the opportunity to pass their business cards around and also to stand up and briefly introduce themselves and their business.

Referral Session - the most important part of the meeting where members give business referrals to each other - and not just from members to other members - external referrals are most important here, e.g:" I saw Mr A last week who told me he needs some new carpeting in his lounge. I gave him your card and said you would phone him tomorrow."

In short, we all act as each others’ sales people during the week, getting each other business as and when appropriate. The Black Prince Chapter in Bexleyheath was established in July 1999 and has already generated 9000 referrals for our members.
