Efficiency and timings are maintained because every BNI Black Prince meeting follows a structured 20 point agenda. On this page you will find details outlining this format, so that when you visit us you can be full prepared to make the most of your opportunity.
Read on to get a taste of what our breakfast meetings are all about.
How better to start the day than with forty five minutes of business networking with a group of keen professionals, hungry for business as well as breakfast. As a member of the BNI Black Prince, it's important that you get to the meetings as early as possible so you can make the most of your investment. BNI works because you build relationships with other business professionals who are confident to refer you and your service, so this networking session is vital for catching up with your BNI colleagues and promoting yourself to them too.
At the heart of the BNI meeting is the "60 Second Speech" slot. This is each member's opportunity to tell everyone at the meeting all about their business, the kind of leads they are looking for, and anything at all that will help the other members generate business for them.
60 seconds may seem to be the briefest of speeches, but BNI have developed a system to harness the power of this format, and
regularly organise free training workshops to allow the members to develop their presentations, introducing techniques such as
the memory hook, and effective ways to ensure that the message is remembered.
This system has immense practical benefits outside BNI, where in real-life networking situations, the BNI member is trained to
be able to give an instant and concise account of what they do.
Each week a different member will be asked to provide a 10 minute presentation to showcase their business, product or service. This is the opportunity to really sell yourself to the room, explaining in detail what it is you do to add value to your customers. If you wish you can use a projector to enhance your delivery with visual aides, and it is not uncommon to find members bringing in samples of their work to pass around the table. Interactivity with the audience is encouraged, so you can make your 10 minutes as interesting as possible. This is your window of opportunity to let everyone else know what makes you and your business great, so be sure to make the most of it.
This is what every meeting is building up to, finding out how much more business you will be walking away with this week and just as importantly, how you much business you will be able to pass to your fellow BNI colleagues. Referrals are all about quality and not quantity, and at BNI Black Prince you will never be subject to pressurised referral passing or made to feel guilty if you do not happen to have any business to pass on one particular week. Moreover, the success of our group is built on the 'Givers Gain' philosophy; if I give you business, in return you will want to give me business. This process comes naturally to our members as they settle in and build relationships with the rest of the group. If you have no referrals to pass, you will be invited to say something positive about the meeting.
After the Meeting
There is an opportunity for further networking directly after the meeting, but in addition to this all members are expected and encouraged to attend 1-2-1 sessions with their members, as well as attend regular training sessions to hone your skills as an expert networker and ensure you get the maximum value from your membership. Training is held mornings or evenings in local venues and the cost is covered in your annual membership dues.
If your business could benefit from more profit, come and visit our group when we next meet. Don't delay, complete the form below and our membership coordinator will contact you with all of the relevant information you need, so you can feel welcome as soon as you arrive.
Please continue to browse the rest of this website at your leisure and we look forward to seeing you at one of our BNI breakfast meeting in the near future.
